Goldenseal, the Ranunculaceae buttercup family, is a perennial herb
native to northeastern US and southeastern Canada.
It is effective for treating
liver diseases, mouth infections, lungs infections, urinary system
and intestines infections, swelling, flu and cold symptoms, indigestion,
gallbladder inflammation andmenstrual disorders .
Berberine substance is found in goldenseal that inhibits or kills micro-organisms,
namely protozoa, fungi, and bacteria. Herbalists often use this herb
as a topical antibiotic to treat viral mouth sores, skin wounds, and
athlete's foot.
Usage of liver disease goldenseal
Goldenseal supplements come in capsules form - contains powdered root,
tablets form, glycerites - low-alcohol extracts, and liquid extracts.
It is usually found together with echinacea herb.
Take goldenseal orally as directed.
