Symptoms of fatty liver
|

Fatty liver an increase in certain liver enzymes in the blood,
and an enlarged liver.
There are usually no fatty liver symptoms that warrants the patient's
attention. Since there are no symptoms, how does one discover that he/she
has fatty liver? It is usually discovered during a routine physical check-up,
or it may be discovered incidentally when the doctor is examining the
patient for other illnesses.
For example, an ultrasound done on the abdomen may reveal fat in the
liver.
To further diagnose the patient, the specialist may perform a liver
biopsy - a thin needle is inserted into the right lower chest to
draw liver tissues while the patient is on anesthesia. The tissues are
then examined under a microscope.
What are the fatty
liver symptoms? They include feeling unwell, feeling tired all the
time, and discomfort in the upper stomach near the liver located at
the base of right rib cage.
Other fatty liver symptoms are: vomiting blood, itchy skin, easily bruised,
dark black faeces, wasted muscles, yellow skin, mottled palms, poor memory,
or confusion or poor memory.
Fatty liver symptoms are hardly noticeable, and thus making it difficult
to diagnose.
Seek necessary medical attention once fatty liver disease is diagnosed.
Diagnosis of this disease includes CAT scan, liver biopsy, blood tests,
and MRI.
Taking blood tests determine the possible fatty liver causes in the
early stage of the disease.
It can determine whether the person is suffering from an inflamed liver.
